I could run an overnight job simulation without the job getting aborted but now I couldn't do it after an improper shutting down. I try to run an overnight simulation but the job kept getting aborted due to error "session has been idle longer than 3600 seconds, disconnecting from Abaqus License Manager". How can I fix this situation and How do I increase the idle time out?

Best regards

It’s better to run such long simulations directly from the command line instead of Job Manager in CAE. Not only it will eliminate the problem with idle session but also reduce the system load.

I will try the method which you mentioned. However, I didn't need such a way to run an overnight job simulation without the job getting aborted. This is interesting.

A running Abaqus job has no dependency on the A/CAE session. So I doubt that the job aborts because A/CAE has timed out.

I generate the .inp by using write input on job manager tab. Then, when I go to the work folder, right click on the folder (.cae) while maintaining shift, there is no "open a command line here" choice to click. Is there any suggestion of you?

If you want to open the command line, don’t click on cae file but on empty space (holding shift, like you say).

I see PowerShell choice now. I think there is PowerShell instead of command line because of Windows 10.

I am not sure.I took this error "session has been idle longer than 3600 seconds, disconnecting from Abaqus License Manager".

Hi, I solved this problem by keeping my internet connection disable from start to end of the job in Abaqus. Thanks for your help.
