    Flat Belt Pulley Traction

Many years ago I had a sample on my desk of a surface that had been flame/arc/metal sprayed with what I think was tungsten carbide. The sample is long gone and I've been unable to find anything like it online. If you have a source I'd be grateful If you'd share. The overmolding idea is...

    Flat Belt Pulley Traction

Thanks for the ideas. There are no teeth on the belt, the grooves are there for texture/traction. It is a sand cast part to keep costs in line.

    Flat Belt Pulley Traction

We build hundreds of 3" wide transfer belt assemblies every year. We have been building our own drive pulleys and lagging them with rough top belting but the whole pulley assembly has become quite expensive. I have been messing with a cast pulley with traction ribs cast in but by the time the...

    Roller identification

Thanks Ross0684, The advantage of these were that they were fairly inexpensive since it was a thin shell casting with little machining. Roller identification

I have some very old product literature of a roller that would be perfect for a current application. Do any of you recognize this? I'm trying to find a supplier but I'm having no luck googling it. If you know who makes it or something like it I'd appreciate some direction.

    Furnace redesign

davefitz, I understand your concerns and appreciate your advice. Nox is absolutely a concern. Perhaps I should clarify a few things though. We already make our own burner nozzles. There are upwards of 100 of them in our smallest furnace so it would be best if we keep making them ourselves...

    Tensile Strength stainless steels

I did a quick check on MatWeb and all of those materials can be found in their search.

    Furnace redesign

My company builds a variety of equipment for a niche market, mostly process machinery and handling equipment but also furnaces and ovens. The company was founded in the 40s and was acquired in the 50s by a couple of guys with a combustion background. Our current furnace design was developed by...
