I will be needing a booster pump station with a supply tank and a pressure tank to supply potable water for an emergency shower. Unfortunately, I have to provide this system because there is not a reliable source of potable water. I’ve sized the booster pump station to deliver 20 gpm against...
I have a 8 inch diameter fire water pipe buried in the ground at our plant. The pipe is ACP asbestor cement pipe. We're creating a bypass of the line where will need to cut and end cap the pipe in two locations.
Someone had suggested that the pipe could be capped with a mechanical joint end...
Is there someone that would help me out with the requirements of ASTM A312?
I specified a stainless steel pipe 316L that shall conform to ASTM A312. My pipe will range in size from 2" to 10" in diameter.
With referencing ASTM A312, what are the quality control tests the manufacturer...
At one time, backing rings were recommended for frp pipe flanges.
Large frp manufacturers such as Ameron and Fibercast have told me that backing rings are not necessary because of the better quality in flange production.
Can provide me with the reason why they are not used anymore? Also, I'm...
Does anybody know of manufacturer(s) that carries a 6" pressure reducing valve in pvc and stainless steel 316?
It seems as if most pvc companies only carry the valve up to 4".
using that formula, the ratio of passage area to total area is 7.66/379.94 = 0.02. So the holes cover about 2% of the total area... it doesn't seem like much of an opening.. I'll have to double check.,
I'm trying to figure out how to calculate the pressure drop of a perforated plate!
Could you provide me with assistance or information?
My current project is the design of a biotrickling scrubber. It is essentially a biological scrubber using lava rock with nutrient rich solution to degrade...

I'm currently working on the design of odor control facilities for a wastewater treatment plant. We plan to use FRP pipe for convey foul air to odor control scrubbers.
I've seen guidelines that limit the air velocities in pipes/duct to less than 2500 fpm or 3000 fpm to reduce the problem of...
