Does anybody know of manufacturer(s) that carries a 6" pressure reducing valve in pvc and stainless steel 316?

It seems as if most pvc companies only carry the valve up to 4".

have you considered putting in a pair of 50% capacity valves in parallel?

Try at" propel@vsnl.com "funishing the necessary details

is your requirement either PVC or SS 316? If you require a SS 316 valve it's easily available. What's the application? Do you need safety valve or a control valve will do?

I would need a control valve. I found one manufacturer for stainless steel. The company name is Cla-Val. But, haven't found anything in pvc.

Why do you need a 6" valve?
Depending on the pressure drop you need to achieve may be tha 4" valve will do just fine... it is very common that the control valve is smaller than the pipe size (usually 1 size smaller).
For good control characteristics you want the control valve to operate between 30~70% travel... a full size valve may have to operate beyond that range
Then you'd only need some reducers.

There are many valve companies that make 6" pressure reducing valves in 316 stainless steel. Jordan and Fisher come to mind. Check out their websites.
The point made by Albeto is very valid. try getting the valve sized and you may find that you do not require a 6" valve.
