wow, I don't do any of the above! But they seem like great tips. I'm going to take your suggestions to George and his team as I'm sure your suggestions will make more sense to them and they can give me tips on how to implement them as I'm only familiar with only specific tasks of AutoCad

Thanks IFR that's basically what I do. I redraw the lines in a differant layer and connect them end point to end point. I then convert them to polyline and close the perimeter. George (the laser guy) opens it in his program and deletes common lines, what ever they are? and ends up with gaps. But...
