    "sldbgproc" error

The error also occurs when in drawings of the assemblies too. Do you have any idea what would cause it to fail? Casey

    "sldbgproc" error

Hi folks. I recently upgraded to SW2006. I am doing some work for a guy and it seems that all of his assemblies cause a "sldbgproc" error. It pops up as a Windows error and wants to "Send" to Microsoft. If you close the pop-up, it does it again and continues. If you just move the pop-up out...

    2 versions of SW & 2 Serial #'s?

CorBlimeyLimey: That's a great idea for half on the work. Half of the work is building onto their existing equipment. I'll suggest that to them for that part of the job. The other half of the job is mods to their existing parts, so I will need 2006 for that. But that will limit the time I...

    2 versions of SW & 2 Serial #'s?

Does 2006 allow you to save as 2005? Most of my clients need 2005 files. As far as I'm aware, SW has never allowed the user to back-save like AutoCAD always has. As for getting issued a serial number, I will be using the nuber and license from my new client for 2006. Will it for sure be...

    2 versions of SW & 2 Serial #'s?

Hi folks. I have a small business on the side doing design and drafting work. I use SW2005 because that's what my clients use. I just got a new project but it requires SW2006. The client is going to let me use one of their licenses to do the job. Am I going to have problems with having 2...

College setting: how much faster to learn & use is SW v. ProE?

I am a recent grad ('04). In school they gave us a crash course in Catia. I got a copy of SW one I was done school and picked it up with no training in a couple weeks. I am now considered a power user of SW. My neighbours son (18) has been playing with AutoCAD for a few years. Last weekend...

dual boot convert to single boot

Could I be having problem because of having to use 2 different serial numbers?

dual boot convert to single boot

dual boot convert to single boot

I'm in a bit of a pickel. I went out this week and bought a new 250G HD to replace the 30G & 10G that are currently in my system. My intention was to do a fresh install of XP this weekend on this new drive and get rid of my existing drives. Last night I got a contract to do some SolidWorks...

    Virtual Walk Thru in SW2005

Hi again folks. I have been asked by a contractor friend to model a home in SW and produce a walk thru to show potential clients. I have heard that SW2006 has a Camera feature to do this. Does anyone know how I do something similar in SW2005? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! CLinn

    Advanced Surfacing

rfus: Don't get me wrong. This was A LOT of work. My data happened to be in straight rows. So that made it easier. We weren't worried about deviation. Our purpose only requires a rough approximation of shape, not an exact replica.

Overkill04: My data happened to be in straight rows. I put a "Curve Through Reference Points" for ewach row of data (I had 44 rows, so 44 curves). I then made a Loft surface using the curves in order. Hope that helps.

Overkill04: I used "mm_24.zip" from http://swtools.cad.de/macros.htm The cloud points are not linked to the Excel file.

    Advanced Surfacing

Thanks everyone for all the help. I managed to get the surfaces to join and make a solid. To fill the gap between the red and green surfaces, I had been trying to do it in one step. I ended up having to make 4 separate lofts between the two to get them to join and knit. Thanks again for all...

antran7: The fill command will not work either. As for losing some data, that can't happen. This was measured data that we have to reproduce and test equipment to. The project requires that the data be made into a solid model, have over 2000 precision hole machines through it then put in a...

One edge is geometric. The other is ...well...just nasty. I'm new to Eng-Tips too. How do I post a picture?
