    Hmmm, I'd never thought to look. It appears Ontario's Construction Reg 213/91 requires GFI's for tools used outdoors or in wet locations only (195.2). Typically the responsibility for construction power would fall back on the contractor, though, and wouldn't be explicitly designed.
