I don't actually have access to that area, but I guess what you are saying is the software does not have relative files paths natively...?
It's more when you are doing iterations of a particular concept, you just want to copy assy, parts, master files etc and...

I'd like to be able to make a copy of an assembly part and its child parts and have the new it2 assembly call the new it2 child parts without requiring a rename. Cloning appears to break wavelinked parts also.
