When creating a cut at the part level the history tree shows the feature as an extrude with the symbol for a cut-extrude.
When I do the same thing by modifying the part at the assembly level (EDIT COMPONENT)it comes up as a cut-extrude with the...
No they were not virtual components. I checked my settings and everything seemed ok.

Let me rephrase, I added some new components and also modified features in the assembly though not in context. The modified component was fine, the change that I made stayed the same. The added components though disappeared on reopening the assembly.
And maybe I should have prefaced it with...
So I modified an assembly an saved saved saved multiple times throughout the modification process. Restarted the computer because SW was acting a bit goofy...another issue I was having... and when i went to open the file it was missing the components that I had added. Anyone else have this...
I had this same problem awhile back...my VAR at the time sent in an SPR but nothing ever came of it. Changed companies and VAR's so not sure if they ever did anything about it...I haven't tried doing that lately for fear of exactly what you are talking about...I will just take the long way and...

Anybody else have this issue or know what is causing...
I keep getting this error and was wondering if anybody else has seen this. Back before I upgraded to 2008 it only occurred when saving as a PDF. In 2008 i have the PFD feature set up for when i check in to PDM so now i get the same warning occasionally when checking into PDM as well. Any...
