Hello all,
I am working on a project that involves some pretty complex 6061 aluminum extrusions. The extrusion company is trying to push me to switch to 6005 saying that its mechanical properties are identical. Although I have found information that confirms 6005 T5 has similar tensile strength...
Thanks Unclesyd,
Sounds like 4140 might be a good choice as there are no high temperatures involved and I assume H11 would come with a higher price.
