To ash060:
Thanks for your quick answer, and it very helpful to me!
I am looking for some info. and goby for the design of connection, but I only had project experiences in California.
Now I work for a project in the east of US, So I wanna to know whether there is some special requirements for...
I wanna to know, except AISC 360-05, what's code or SPEC is necessary for the design of connection of steel structure/building?
Thanks for you help!
IN TODAY'S ENGINEERING PRACTICE, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A“NORMAL”OR "STANDARD" STRUCTURAL ANALYSIS.
I had a question when calc wind load per ASCE7-05
In asce 7-05 page 27, Eq6-13a Rl=RB n=4.6*n1*E*B/Vz,
what's the meaning of 'E' in this Eq? I havn't found it in the chapter of 'SYMBOLS AND NOTATION'.
Many thanks!

As we know, in OMF seismic design(per AISC 341-05), we can use AISC Design Guiding 4(AISC DG4) to design the Beam to Column Flange Moment Connection(BCF). In this guilding, bolted based Moment Connection(using End-plate and 4/8 bolts) Design method were introduced.
My question is wheather the...

yeah, you can find in detail in AISC 341-05..
But I think torsion should be avoided by proper connection.
