FORGING RATIO - FLANGES
Hi, Cheers! What I'm getting at is the ratio between heights would oridinarily be the same as the ratio between the cross-section in a uniform cylinder. In a flange this is not the case, but from what I think you're saying/the links say... I simply calculate, if upsetting, max cross-section of...- eg0u4106

FORGING RATIO - FLANGES
Hi All, I'm quite familiar with calculating forging ratios, but how is this performed for wn flanges (i.e. items with effectively 2 cross-sectional areas?) I'm forging a 320mm diameter x 380mm height bar into a flange of body diameter 500mm x 114mm height and neck diameter 265mm x 136mm height...- eg0u4106
