    Articulation under Advanced Simulation

Hi Blas, Thank you very much for the reply. If the "Advanced" solution type is not available (see attached screenshot) does this just mean my licensing isn't up to scratch and I need something more? I'm using NX7.5 if that makes any difference... Kind regards Tim...

    FEA Results

Thanks very much for your reply. By the log files I assume you mean clicking on Help > NX Log Files? In which case do you have any suggestions for the kind of thing to look out for? It seems to be a very very long document full of things which would mean something to a computer but not to me...

    FEA Results

Does anyone have any idea why my FEA simulation results come out with element size, aspect ratio, skew and mesh instead of being the parameters I've selected in the solutions dialogue box under the results tab? (i.e. temperature, velocity, heat transfer coefficient) Thanks

    Articulation under Advanced Simulation

Hi All, I'm trying to use the "articulation" simulation object type while doing some thermal-flow simulation. However for some reason I have to apply it when the "solution" is inactive and then when I activate the solution again after implementing the articulation, the articulation object...

    NX Thermal - Transient

For anyone reading this post wanting to know the answer, I've worked it out! Under thermal loads, where you put in the value (in Watts for heat load), change it from "expression" to "field". Then click on the drop down menu and select "Table constructor". It is then fairly straight forward to...

    NX Thermal - Transient

Hi, I am trying to use NX Thermal to analyse a brake system. I would like to simulate the entire system over a certain amount of time, say 15 seconds, however I would only like to apply a thermal load to the rotor for a smaller time period (say 2 seconds) to simulate the braking itself. Can...
