    stady state dynamic in LS-DYNA

I have just one excitation frequency; therefore, I expect to see just one number: the displacement in steady-state condition on node 2. The result should match the textbook (0.632 mm) When I use the base displacement method, everything is just right. Hier is the result of the base...

    stady state dynamic in LS-DYNA

I’m trying to understand how LS-DYNA SSD Module works. For this purpose, I’m solving a simple mass-spring system from a textbook. I tried to solve it with two approaches: 1. Time-domain: The result matches very well with the book. 2. Frequency-domain (SSD): unfortunately, I could not...

How do separate parts that share some same nodes?

Hey Greg, I appreciate the suggestion. However, there is an easier method. I used detach in the 3D panel. It works quite simply.

How do separate parts that share some same nodes?

Hello everybody, I have a model with two parts. In the contact interface, the parts share some nodes. How can I separate those parts with less effort?

Global Bolted Joint Model for Multi-Bolt Joints (Gray and McCarthy)

If I'm not wrong, you want to transfer displacement and forces without considering the bolt itself. If so, then why not Rigid body elements (RBE2 and RBE3)?

remeshing the results of a simulation in hypermesh or ls prepost.

Yes, Exactly. that is the main problem. I used the Automesh of the Hypermesh. It works well. However, I can not map the stress and strain yet.

remeshing the results of a simulation in hypermesh or ls prepost.

No, the mesh is not created in Hypermesh. It is the result of a simulation, which consists of the stress and strain state from the last simulation step. I need also to have this information in the new mesh.

remeshing the results of a simulation in hypermesh or ls prepost.

Hello everybody, I have a mesh like a picture below. How can I change the element size or remesh the model in Hypermesh? I know that I can do it one by one. But is there any way to do it faster concerning the current mesh geometry?

axisymetric simulation results to solid mesh - LS-Prepost or Hypermesh

Hey guys, I want to use the results of an axisymmetry forming simulation to create a 3D mesh (revolve on symmetry axis). The 3D mesh should also contain residual stresses. I used LS-DYNA to perform the forming simulation. The residual stresses are available in dynain file. How can I create the...
