I added the convert file into the windows context menu.
right click -> convert to inch
right click -> convert to MM
Seems to work fine. but yes, its not on the fly inside NX.
The ability to use a "Datum coordinate system" or preferably a MCS as the reference Coordinates of all point dialogue box's and line creation/edit dialog box's. This comes into play for me in many places, manual edit of toolpath, creating points, creating 3D lines to drive tools down.

Say i modeled a piece of tooling, pulled that fixture into my manufacturing setup as an assembly component for visualization.
And also, inside the fixtures .prt file, i made some programs to machine the fixture using holemaking.
Now, inside my manufacturing setup for my actual part, all the...
Using NX 10.0.2.6 and a Makino A51NX Hroizontal with renishaw Probe.
Using NX OOTB Probing functions, and the OOTB Probe ugti0402_001
Ive gotten it to position B axis using "Rotary point vector move" subop
Then i protected mode rapid to near the point using "linear move to point" subop
Then...
Hello Ive discovered an issue with my post that ive used for years, that I'd like to come up with a fix for.
Its a 4th axis Post for A axis.
I just ran into an issue that if i accidentally have a slight B tilt to my tool axis in an operation, that i dont get the correct A number in the code...
I'd like to Drive a solid body along a series of curves. Kind of like the "Tube" feature, but the body isn't round, nor perpendicular to the curves. It has depth beyond the end of the curve.
I've modeled a vacuum fixture, and it has a grid pattern of ball troughs. Trying to get a ballmill to run down the center of them all. The troughs are only .03 deep so not up to tangent of 3/16 ballmill, to mill it as a real slot.
IPW Flow?
If I'm just programming a single part, like in vises.
I program the top side, then new MCS spun around "and usually moved to tooling surfaces for ease of setup" , to Program the bottom,
That works fine, for the IPW being cut properly from one op to another.
Is that what you mean by...
In NX 9.0 there's the new multi part programming feature.
On one side of a Horizontal Tombstone I have multiple of the same parts.
Program one part, Paste to the other parts with associativity to first...
All is well.
But is there a way for on another face of the tombstone, to have the second...
That actually worked, thank you.
First I set them all to general, then for aesthetics slowly put some back to numbers to not get 15 zero's after the decimal.
In the end its fixed, and all the ones that matter are back to numbers with few decimals. Not sure which one was the culprit.
Thank you for the reply, but yes definitely doing the Sheet only as the guide stated. "though since I was unsuccessful, have tried all different ways to no avail."
I've been trying to follow a guide to make small changes to the shop docs.

At the part where in Excel, you Publish the .Xlsx into a new .htm is the problem.
Even without altering the .xlsx just open in Excel, and republish the .htm makes NX throw a bunch of .tcl errors trying to use the...
In NX 8.5, when using a tool from the library, there is the catalog name...
But if you click in to edit the tool, there is also a tool description ie... tool UGTI0201_012 has a description of " End Mill 1/2" "
is there a mom variable to pull this description into post builder?
