Are pressure cycles in a system considered during design of burst pressure of rupture disc. Can someone give me knowledge on this ?

but what about the trapped hydrocarbons inside the bed ! how to remove them ? we can't take the risk of opening the bed without removing the trapped HC.

we have two types of safety systems incorporated in our plant. one is deluge valve system and the other one is the sprinkler system. I have an idea how deluge system works. can any body throw some light on sprinkler safety system and the difference between these two systems.

when do we use steam tracing and when do we use electric tracing for lines ? do we have any standard for usage of these two different types.

for the control valve of steam we have a bypass line with orifice and It will be lined up continuously to ensure minimum steam goes to the tip.. so whats the necessity of control valve having fail to open which might cause catastrophic failure.
