    for the control valve of steam we have a bypass line with orifice and It will be lined up continuously to ensure minimum steam goes to the tip.. so whats the necessity of control valve having fail to open which might cause catastrophic failure.

    we have NRV's for resisting the back flow of liquids and gases. is the design same for both liquids and gases or does the design vary ?
