Need help: Obtaining results from loadcase steps

It's right, it was missspelled here. But either way, *NODE FILE does not work with loadcase steps since it is not allowed with this kind of step definitions. therefore, unfortunately i can not use it. so i still have got the problem.

Nobody here, who is expert in this this topic?

Need help: Obtaining results from loadcase steps

Hello everyone, I got the following issue with Abaqus: I have got a Static Linear Pertubation Step with a lot of loadcases and a quite big model. I need to determine the displacement of a lot of nodes for each loadcase. This should be as fast as possbile and as robust as possible, since I have...

    Acoustic Analysis of a Box

Hello Everyone! I would like to conduct an acoustic analysis of the noise radiation of a hollow box, which is excited from within by a transient dynamic force on shaft. The shaft is carried by the box. I am interested in the information, which frequencies are amplified or damped by the radiation...

    Internal Sets

can't do that...companies secret but do you have some suggestions?

    Internal Sets

No, unfortunately the surfaces have not been explicitly named. If I had done so, it would be quite nice to do. I agree with that. It seems as if Simulia does not give to the user all the possibilities that are available with Python here (at least in the documentation) and that are implemented...

    Internal Sets

additional remark: I guess there must a possibilty to get to it, because the GUI can do it without having neither the input file nor the cae file. I guess there could be some workaround way by interpreting the defintions that created the internal node sets, e.g. contact/interaction. But I don't...

    Internal Sets

Hello! I would like to have access to an internal node set in Abaqus Viewer with the Abaqus script language. Does anyone know to do it?

WB: Importing a Mesh into a Simulation without the geometry

Ok...I found it. You have to highlight the geometry synthesis and the "initial geometry" command can be found than on the upper right menu. It works! Thank you very much!

WB: Importing a Mesh into a Simulation without the geometry

Where do I find the command or tool that makes the initial geometry in the FE-modeler? thx

WB: Importing a Mesh into a Simulation without the geometry

Hello everyone! I want to use a mesh in the Ansys Workbench Simulation Suite in order to apply contacts and restraints and so on. But I don't have any geometry file because the mesh is directly generated by another program. So does anybody know how to get a mesh directly into the simulation...

3D Orphan Mesh To Geometry Part

Hello everybody! I have got a 3d-orphan imported that I want to transfer into a 3d-geometry part. I know that there is the possibilty to do it for 2d orphan meshes by using "Part2DGeomFrom2DMesh". Is there any possiblity to do it for 3d meshes, too? thx in advance

    Nonlinear Coupling of different DOFs

Hello Everyone! I want to connect two nodes by a structural nonlinear stiffness component. That takes into account "cross-coupling". (That means non-linear off-diagonal stiffness if you want to see it as a stiffness matrix) For instance if a Ux occurs I want also a moment response about another...

    Material Curve Fitting for Force/Displacement

Does anybody know if and how it is possible to get from a force/displacement test data with the material curve fitting to a nonlinear material model. I just see the possiblity to input stresses and strains. If have got the force/displacement test data for a ring that is fixed outside and loaded...

    Non-Linear Orthotropic Material

Refering also to thread569-89306 I want to model two rings made of usual isotropic material (such as steel or something compareable) with a ring between them, that should have orthropic material properties. As you see this model is geometrically axisymmetric. But from the scratch the material...

    convergaence graph

In addition you can check the solver out after each iteration to build up your own convergence graph ;-)

    convergaence graph

You can find it on the tree: Solution > Solution Information Be sure to change "Solution Output" in the Details of the Solution Information to "Force Convergence" or the convergence of whatever you want.

    Laptop suggestions

I am searching for a convertible that can even deal with mid-range calculations and minor needful cad operations. I've already found a few: - IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad X61t - Fujitsu Siemens Lifebooks T5010 and T1010 - HP Pavilion TX2550eg - DELL Latitude XT - mySN TSN120R I know that there are a...

    Dividing Only Surfaces

I made it now in a diffrent but compareable way to what dgallup mentioned. So what I did now and what fits more to an Ansys topic: Use Ansys Geometry Designer, import the parts from Pro/E, sketch the subdivisions as lines in a normal plane and use the extrude feature to create an imprint...

    Dividing Only Surfaces

What do you mean by creating a surface. An additional one for the part? I think if the surface belongs to the part and there are no gaps then the mesher should be able to deal with it.
