    don't know if this will help but i have also been trying to find a fan in the past week or so. Most of the ones i have looked at have had quite the overkill with the hp on the motor, leading me to believe that they must be quite ineffiecent designs, with motors large enough just to do the job...

    Tomfitz, a possibility you might want to look into further is the turbocor compressor. Because the turbocor compressor is oil free it could be possible to retrofit with one of these, then the problem of the oil not moving through the complete system ceases to be a problem. hope this helps

    absrbrtek, those are some interesting points you raised. From what i know turbocor compressors are now being used in australia, europe, and north america. i'm from melbourne, australia...where abouts did they have the problems with cold starts, and where did the 1/2 fail. thanks for the info.
