I tried this indeed, but as you say, one need to dose this periodically. I heard about these filters, and there is no need for periodic maintenance with these. That is wat appeals to me.
But then, if this is no go: What is the best biocide in the market nowadays?

We are plagued by bacteria/bugs in our MDO.
Who has seen good results using magnetfilters, and then, which brand/type?
We tried chemicals, but after a while they just came back.

Thanks guys, i got some good info about this now.
I got to a site where I now ordered an "in-ear" microfone set to try out. I can use this in combination with my peltor earmuffs.
Hope it works, else i gonna try the throat mic.
well, we overhaul it completely every time again. also the water chamber ,slide, disk stack and the rest. new o-rings
but for some reason she fouls every 3 days.
well, i heard about throat mic's, but it was also said they drop down now and then.
