escavation for above ground pool too close to garage?

Thanks for the reply, that makes me feel a little better. Not sure about any footers I thought it was just a monolithic slab but I am not familiar with the codes in Kentucky. I would guess that the bottom of the excavation for the pool is below any footer or the slab, the soil in kentucky is...

escavation for above ground pool too close to garage?

I had an above ground pool set up and the excavators dug out about 3 feet of earth about 3.5 feet from the corner of my garage. I am concerned it was dug too close to the slab of the garage which is part of the house. I will be backfilling to the pool but wanted to get opinions on whether...

steel plate thickness for box supporting 4psi difference

Steel pipe is not something we have in stock or access to, so I am not familiar with the cost. why don't you enlighten me to the cost of a 6ft section of 24" diameter pipe.

steel plate thickness for box supporting 4psi difference

A steel pipe might work, but I am trying to keep the cost down.

steel plate thickness for box supporting 4psi difference

If you could let me know the result from your copy that would be a big help, just so I know. I will look into the 24" std wt pipe too. You wouldn't happen to have a general idea of price for the pipe would you, maybe a link? Thanks for the help

steel plate thickness for box supporting 4psi difference

I was planning on having the box welded together, so it would appear like a large steel rectangle tube. Then weld a plate over one end and leave the other open so I could access the inside. I am not familiar with Roark's table.

steel plate thickness for box supporting 4psi difference

Hello all, I originally was thinking of making this from plywood but 4psi is too much for plywood. I have access to 4x8 sheets of steel 1/4 and 3/8". I would like to know which one I can get away with using for a 20"h x 13"w x 66"d box. There will be a 4psi difference inside the box vs. the...

    span strength of 1" plywood

Thanks for all the replies. What would be the minimum thickness of steel plate I could get away with?

    span strength of 1" plywood

Thanks. From my research I didn't think it would work, but I thought I would get a second opinion.

    span strength of 1" plywood

Hello, I would like to know if I build a 2'2'96" box out of 1" plywood sheathing (think diy altitude test chamber) would it be able to withstand a 4psi differential. I am looking at testing products at no greater than a simulated 9000 ft. Thanks
