I've used CFDesign for several years and found it to be fairly good. One downside from my point of view is the mesher, which has had problems meshing some of my geometry and then required a lot of work to clean up.
Unfortunately I haven't used NEi Fluid Flow so I can't comment, I would try and...
Floworks seems particularity sensitive to not having the correct graphics card more that any other part of application I would check you card is certified by SW first as GRF suggested.
Hi Thorn,
This would be easier (and more accurate) with a CFD package but you can get reasonable results using Cosmos.
There are two approaches to solving this problem the first would be to model a air volume around your two components. Then set-up a transient thermal study applying an...
You need to set up a static analysis in Cosmos. Then you need to define where your part is constrained and then add the temperature as a load/restraint on the whole body.
After you run the study the displacement plot will give you the required results.
I currently use CosmosWorks and FEMap with NX Nastran. I've carried out a few comparison checks of static, contact and eigenvalue analysis. I've generally found the results to be within a few significant figures.
You can set up the model in CosmosWorks and export it to Nastran and run it...
