Thanks guys for all the advise.
John2004, all someone has to do is a save as and then it can be modified.
smcadman, for beginners, this would be a good option, but unfortunately, most that I deal with are not.
borgunit, I've already tried to submit the dwf file to my uppers. For one reason or...
That is the option we use now. Unfortunately, our clients are having difficulties plotting to full size and/or scale. I've worked on this problem briefly in the past, and came up with nothing. I was just hoping there was something new that I missed.
I would like to send .dwg files to other clients. I am working w/ Acad 2000 and Acad 2004LT. Can you make a file uneditable but still be viewed in Acad? Thanks.
Awhile back I also found the LDF.lsp to work great. I also use Lpurge.lsp in conjuction with it. I can usually take 2mb files down to around 500k. I don't remember where I got this, but with a little research, it's worth it.
Hi,
The easiest way I've found to eliminate things that "pop" up one these things is to open a new sheet and do a copy/paste of only what you want. This should work unless you have some other calculation within the copied area.
Thanks, But what I've did was try to redefine a block to layer 0 and the changes are occuring only in the lines, not the text. Text color in the block won't change.
Drawings received from architects often have gridlines and grid bubbles. On the bubbles, I've exploded, redefined block, placed objects on layer 0 and changed properties while exploded, and still can't change color. Why?
