    Crude oil compression

Good afternoon, If I compress crude oil from 1 barg to 25 bars how can I calculate the reduction of volume? Thank you.

    Gas and Liquid in pipe

Thank you BigInch. Does anyone have a software to do drop pressure calculation? I tried to do it manually and the result are very strange. I used the example 17.4 done in "Fluid and Flow piping" Section 17 I found a drop pressure of 6900 Kpa which is strange cause the inlet pipe pressure is...

    Gas and Liquid in pipe

Good Afternoon ! I would like to know when we flow gas and liquid (oil + water) in a pipem, what are the things which we have to be aware except drop pressure, line integrity? Thank you

    Liquid in gas pipe

Thank you very much it is very interesting to read your point of view. Actually I don't need an accurate value. That is why I wanted to do it manually. I have never work on this kind subject. I would like to give some details about the situation. The gas is coming from an MP separator and then...

    Liquid in gas pipe

Snorgy, I would like to do it manually. I read Section 17 in GPSA. I found the Flanigan Liquid Hold up correlation. For the calculation of the Liquid Hold up they just use the gas velocity. I try to do the calculatio I found about 30 m3 of liquid in the pipe. It's strange because they don't...

    Liquid in gas pipe

Good Afternoon, I have a question. We have a pipe about 9km. We send gas inside this pipe. I would like to know when we are going to have liquid. I know that we can use the Dew point. Even if I know that we are going to have liquid is it possible to calculate the volume of liquid? Thank...

    Mass flowmeter - Coriolis

Good Afternoon, Does anyone work with mass flowmeter such as micro motion. I would like to understand why there is a difference between the water cut done by the flowmeter and the water cut coming from labo analysis... Is it the gas effect? how can we correct this difference. Thank you...

    Nozzle Velocity Separator

PaoloPemi , Thank you a lot for all your explanation. I get the composition of the gas and I calculated the velocity. Merci again Best Regards,

    Nozzle Velocity Separator

Good Morning, Thank you PaoloPemi for your explanation. I have another question why do we consider natural gas? Thank you Best Regards,

    Nozzle Velocity Separator

Hello PaoloPemi, Thank you for your response. The flow rate is 10 MMscfd, the diameter of the nozzle is 6 inch...maybe I did a mistake in my formula. The density of the gas is 33kg/m3 and viscosity 0.0129 cp. I will try to see is the flow is correct. Thanks again Regards,

    Nozzle Velocity Separator

Thank you tickle for your response. Actually I thought also about this formula but as it seems too easy I was not sure... The problem is when I do the calculation flow / nozzle area = velocity I found 180 m/s.... too huge I think...

    Nozzle Velocity Separator

Good Afternoon, I would like to know how to calculate the velocity of the gaz in outlet nozzle of separator. It is a 2 phases separator. I have the flow, the density, the viscosity of the gas. Thank you for your help
