Rule of thumb for hot water buffer vessel

the buffer is to ride the peak of the system. The CHP output is 233 KW heat and 200 KW electricity. I am not sure about the duration of the peak and its frequency, lets assume, 10 hours. thanks

Rule of thumb for hot water buffer vessel

Sorry I forgot to add the followings: the system is a CHP producing Hot water for an heating system whose peak is 490KW. Water temperature is 90C. thanks again

Rule of thumb for hot water buffer vessel

Hi guys and gals, I can't remember this rule of thumb. Would you say 30 litres per each KW correct? Thank you

GET RID OF LOW GRADE HEAT

Actually at the very beginning it seemed to be strange also to me, but if you have a look to the regulations here (uk) one of the risk of getting legionella is linked with flushing toilets: it is odd I know. We re trying to get rid of the heat using something artistic cause the site is a very...

GET RID OF LOW GRADE HEAT

Hi Guys, the water's temperature is 27-28 C degrees and we want to low the temperature as we need to use this water to flush toilets ann the client is concern about legionella. So we were thinking about a stirling engine using a low delta T to get rid of thi low grade heat and at the same time...

right choice for heat pump and boilers

Hi, I have designed a plant to provide DHW and heating for a building. By the calculation I have got that the heating loads (peaks) are gonna be: 300kW for heating purposes 175 kW for hot water. The system is going to be made of: 1 heat pump using borehole water connected to a ceiling radiant...

GET RID OF LOW GRADE HEAT

Hi guys, I am looking for some ideas as a way of taking low-grade heat out of water. Must be artistic (the kind of stirling engines ...). Does anybody got any ides? Thank you Sorry I ve posted this also in the civil section but maybe here is more appropriate

    AHU general questions

Thank you so much everybody. Marcoh thank you for your offer but I work in engineering company so I think they gave this job to me just as a sort of training process given that I have just started, thank you very much anyway.

    AHU general questions

Hi Willard3, I know this is going a lot harder than I though. For environmental requirements, do you mean temperature, RH inside the rooms?

    AHU general questions

Hi everybody, I need to get a rough idea about how many AHUs I will need to condition a building. This building will be a museum with three main exhibition areas plus a number of coffee shops, resturant and offices. Do you know if there is a guide or something like that to figure out how many...

    legionella growth curves

Hi everybody, sorry to bother you still with legionella. I am looking for growth curves related with temperature, precisely I need the growth rate of legionella bacteria depending on the temperature. Does anyone know where I can find them? I ve been looking for a while but without success...

    Roof drainage: water velocity

Hi there, I am designing a roof drainage water system. The roof features a double curvature: south east 20 degrees, north west 5 degrees. The gutter will collect the water coming from the roof and will drain it in a end point downpipe. My concern is that the water velocity might be too high (the...

BOREHOLE WATER FOR IRRIGATION AND FLUSHING: PROBLEMS

I am designing a plant to re-use greywater, produced by a borehole cooling system, to irrigate gardens and flushing toilets. In design this system I have come across several problems which I am trying to solve and I would like to ask you some advices. The first problem concerns Legionella: the...
