Hi,
I am trying to flow steam into a chamber using a ideal variable componet, using water ideal gas and air ideal gas, but when i run the calulation I am not getting what i expect, i have buoyancy switched on etc.
Has any body tried this before? am i using the correct approach?
I have a round on a part, of 0.5mm, but when i edit the main extrusion of the part to 10 meters long, the part crashes. the same if i have the part 10 meters long, the smallest round it will let me enter will be 1mm.
Is there some setting somewhere i can change?
thanks

Hi,
I have a 12mm thick beam and i am feeding wires through it. I am currently using a plastic cable gland, but i want to use some type of rubber grommet. The cable size is about 18mm in dia and i need the grommet to seal(IP66), but it needs to fit this 12mm thick beam, a lot of grommets are for...
HI,
I am looking at using a plastic molded can to house some electrial parts. It is going to be used in a hot and humid enviroment, about 60 - 70deg C. I have to make sure that the can can't leak or any moisture enter the can. The dim of teh can would be 170mm x 175mm x 275mm, the top of teh can...
I have a load in a horizontal furnace, i heed to turn the load that it is vertical, it is some wafers in a test in the lab, does any body know what effect this will have on heating the wafers up uniformily?
Is there a design of element / baffels i could use?
Thanks
i was looking about a single part, when u give a part a attribute, like material, can you make this attribute appear in the title block of the part its self?
Can use it and it does improve, but it is not a "vacuum" cool down. We have to keep it at the same pressure, 1 x 10-6 Torr.
Convection tru the part to its stand might be a way, but the part is sitting on a quartz plate, so won't get much heat flow thru that?
What do you think?
There is a jacket on teh chamber, water cooled and it runs through out the process, the partsare heated up to 480C for a time, and then elements are turned off and cooling begins.
The radiation between the parts and the wall is not good enough to give a quick cool down, there is a quartz heating...
Hi,
I have a chamber which is in Vacuum, and I have parts that I want to cool down. The problem is the vacuum! The parts are cooling very slow, due to the fact the only heat transfer is radiation. I need to speed up the cooldown? in a controlled mannor. I have to keep the parts in a vacuum until...
HI,
I am looking for stainless steel which needs to have a dull fininsh, i need the best heat transfer, heat transfer to teh stainless is due to radiation on one side, and water flow (forced convection) the other.
What finish can I get?
Thanks
Thanks for that fox,
I was using 1000 Kg/m^3 as density, to be on the safe side.
So thats why we had different answers.
I am also out by a factor of 1 so my pressure should be .03 & .04 mPa, as 1Pa = 1N/M^2
I am running my calulation again!
will update
Hi, more info on tank
all stainless steel
dia 2500 mm, height 3350mm, 3mm wall
cone bottom dia 2500mm going down to dia 154.2mm height 820 mm
It vol. approx 17,500 Liters.
I have some outer supports (ribs), my pressure is .40405 mPa
on the cone and .32228 mPa on the cylinder, these are the...
