    Plastic Can

HI, I am looking at using a plastic molded can to house some electrial parts. It is going to be used in a hot and humid enviroment, about 60 - 70deg C. I have to make sure that the can can't leak or any moisture enter the can. The dim of teh can would be 170mm x 175mm x 275mm, the top of teh can...

    Speed up Heat Transfer

Can use it and it does improve, but it is not a "vacuum" cool down. We have to keep it at the same pressure, 1 x 10-6 Torr. Convection tru the part to its stand might be a way, but the part is sitting on a quartz plate, so won't get much heat flow thru that? What do you think?

    Speed up Heat Transfer

There is a jacket on teh chamber, water cooled and it runs through out the process, the partsare heated up to 480C for a time, and then elements are turned off and cooling begins. The radiation between the parts and the wall is not good enough to give a quick cool down, there is a quartz heating...

    Speed up Heat Transfer

Hi, I have a chamber which is in Vacuum, and I have parts that I want to cool down. The problem is the vacuum! The parts are cooling very slow, due to the fact the only heat transfer is radiation. I need to speed up the cooldown? in a controlled mannor. I have to keep the parts in a vacuum until...

    Clean dull stainless

HI, I am looking for stainless steel which needs to have a dull fininsh, i need the best heat transfer, heat transfer to teh stainless is due to radiation on one side, and water flow (forced convection) the other. What finish can I get? Thanks

    Oil Storage Tank

Thanks for that fox, I was using 1000 Kg/m^3 as density, to be on the safe side. So thats why we had different answers. I am also out by a factor of 1 so my pressure should be .03 & .04 mPa, as 1Pa = 1N/M^2 I am running my calulation again! will update
