    Curves in drawing view

Hello Is there a way for NX to treat curve like body in drafting?... So that If the curves or part of the curves are behind the body in some view, then they are hidden. Usually, if you have some component represented just by curves in assembly (e.g. dxf) and you want to show it in drawing, NX...

    NX 8.5 PC configuration

We are mostly doing modeling, assemblies and drafting. These assemblies and their drawings can sometimes be pretty resource hungry.

    NX 8.5 PC configuration

We are planning to update to NX 8.5 win7 64 (currently nx6), and in the process upgrade/replace our old workstations. Since the budget is limited I was wondering whether should we concentrate more on cpu or gpu? There are few xeon's which are not more expensive then i5/i7. (As far as I know ECC...

    Hole Table

Hi, when I create hole table (insert->table->hole table) nx doesn't list them in the same order as I picked them. What is the problem? It's pretty annoying, since I have a lot of holes to put in table. I'm using nx6. Thanks.

    Inherit feature parameters

A small suggestion...maybe useful, I'm not sure if something like this already exist (I haven't seen it), but I would like to see "inherit feature parameters" option. For example when you place a feature (e.g. hole) or user defined feature and later you need to create similar or exactly the...

    Through curves

Not Specified – the flow direction is straight through to the opposite side. Isoparametric – the flow direction follows the isoparametric direction (U or V) of the constraint surface. Normal – the flow direction is normal to the base edge of the constraint surface. Are there any...

    drafting - hidden lines

Is there a way to control the depth for which nx displays hidden lines? (Something like a base point in break out section) The thing is that when model is complex and I need to show some hidden edges, I get like trillion lines. Thanks.

    Intersection curves

Thanks mmauklin, but I quit trying to achieve anything with tolerances. I approximated faulty area with bridge curve. btw. John you were eager to see the model, and there was no response...:D. anyway if you're still reading this I am interested in your opinion about the overall quality of the...

    Intersection curves

OK here's the model, original which is very similar (shape is equal) to this was made in nx6, but this was edited in nx7. I'm actually using nx6. Intersection curves are at the end. Intersection curves

Mdel is in mess and have to remove some data. Can't at the moment. Do You have any "general" advice?

    Intersection curves

I have few sheets, tangent to each other, (extruded, tc mesh,...) which are sewed. This sewed sheets are thickened (I had to increase the tolerance a bit, to be able to do that). Now i need intersection curves of that new surface (which is "offset" created by thicken). Problem is that I keep...

    Through curve mesh

yes, just wanted to say, that using points in tc is sometimes very useful and easy, and making more guides in tcm is sometimes pita, at least i think...

    Through curve mesh

hm, ok,..i undrstand now..if i pick guides, can't use aligment....it would be nice if there were be something like aligment points in tcm.

    Through curve mesh

Is there a way to control the shape of tcm, by moving alignment points like in through curves? thanks

    Drafting warning message

Can someone please explain this message and how to remove the cause of it? it appeared few times so far on some older drawings (when opening them). Part cleanup sometimes helps or at least I think. Thanks.

    Displaying Constraints in Assembly Navigator

Sorry for bringing this up, just saw it, but I have to agree with Cubalibre. At least to some extent. It can really be a frustrating experience to work with assembly constraints. But I got used to it (also to some extent), well I had to, since none asked me do I like them :D I'm also using nx on...
