    Time Study assistance

The small bags in question are only the portioned out pounds of specific powders as needed for the recipe of the batch. The majority of the bags are the large bags the powder comes packaged in. And the hopper is the intake portion of the screw conveyor as shown in the attached picture...

    Time Study assistance

Hello. I have been tasked to do a time study on a process of filling a liquifier mixer tank with the goal of timeing the current method of conveying it (screw conveyor) and seeing if an alternative method (vacuum conveyor) of conveying would speed it up a bit. I have already observed and timed...

    Help with Liquid level delimma.

Thank for the help. What I ended up doing was calculating the percent volume which wasn't accounted for and adding it to the percentage as measured by the program.

    Help with Liquid level delimma.

Thanks for responding. Now I have more questions. I already have looked at the data sheet and it still gives the percentages, and have the P&ID drawing, but it only shows the liquid column itself and not the And I already have the total volume of the tank as calculated with the equations...

    Help with Liquid level delimma.

Now, I have another question. The program that my uses to measure the tank levels in percentages uses a parallel liquid column on the tank and it does not span the entire length of the tank. Base on a drawing provided, the top and bottom ends of the column are 3.25 and 81.25 inches respectively...

    Pipe Roughness values.

I am concerned with two different hoses. One which has FEP (Fluorinated ethylene propylene) as the material the innermost pipe layer is made of. The one through which the fluid runs through. The other which has Nitrile as the same thing.

    Pipe Roughness values.

According to the manufacturer of the Nitrile hose I am concerned with, it is "manufactured according to 3A standards which allow 1/32"of a pocket/ridge. The hose is also manufactured on a chrome mandrel, which produces the smoothest possible tube."

    Pipe Roughness values.

Does anyone know where I can find the absolute roughness values for the materials, Nitrile and FEP?

    Help with Liquid level delimma.

Hello Everyone, I am a person whom only just got an engineering position and I am having a bit of trouble in a project. You see, one of the pumps in our refrigeration system is suffering cavitation issues and I am attempting to determine the NPSHa to it. To make a long story short, one of...
