3 wire motor control with delay

Yes it is in a bucket. So a Power Monitor that would trip on on UnderPower with a delay would function as Ride through and the restart circuit can go away? Or a powernitor can do both ride through and restart?

3 wire motor control with delay

@Heaviside1925 But that's if the undervoltage is <1 sec. , cct has undervoltage ridethrough AND restart capability, but if the drop is >1sec, the start seal will be broken...Am I correct in what you stated?

3 wire motor control with delay

Its a standard design, the tap off main line to CPT sec is 120vac

3 wire motor control with delay

This is already implemented at the site for various 480/600vac motors, it is not a concept

3 wire motor control with delay

The CR is not a lathcing relay

3 wire motor control with delay

Colleague said this circuit is for a "3 WIRE CONTROL WITH UNDERVOLTAGE RESTART"

3 wire motor control with delay

My understanding is this circuit causes delay of motor off by 1 second. I do not understand why the CR required and why the timer relay alone cannot be usedbe combined here? 1

    Generator at low loads

    it's a diesel generator

Power Line walk down before energization

Second the bit about grounding for safety reasons. Some elements maybe visible but mostly rely on test reports and HV contractor's sign off.

    Generator at low loads

    Generator running all day 24/7

What are the grounding requirements for a LV installation energized from a 100 kVA generator?

not sure on the answer, but the logic would be something like this: Depending on soil conditions, achieving 1 - 5 ohms would not be that easy. Place a ground loop connected to the transformer at 2 points, 3ft offset for buried loop, add a ground rod / inspection well at one corner and test, add...

    Generator at low loads

I am proposing using a 14kw generator for prime power that will be lightly loaded at ~4kw during summer, but winter time would be ~12kw. Will under loading during summer / low load conditions cause problems with pf and wet stacking? Or do these problems only occur with larger >50kw gensets?

Ground Fault Detection (Option 1 vs Option 2)

So I have a situation where I need to replace an existing 200A fused disconnect with a CB that can also detect ground faults, the 2 options I see are: 1. CB with a shunt coil connect to a ground fault detection relay connected to a Window CT 2. Install a CB with a Electronic trip Unit (LSIG)...

    Arch Flash Hazard Analysis

Hi there, For those that are familiar with the arch flash hazard analysis using SKM, Easypower, etc, Is it possible to perform the analysis on section of the one-line without the full one line modeled? I would imagine you would need the equivalent impedance? Comments?
