    VIBRATION TEST FIXTURE.

Few points to clarify now. The design is changed. We've now incorporated two gussets, M6 nuts (Cheese head with Allen nuts) 8 nos for each surface, more number of holes for mounting on the table. Further, the thread will be only on one mating part with the other having a through hole and a...

    VIBRATION TEST FIXTURE.

Thank all members for your suggestions. Some clarifications. 1. The General Design is as given below. 2. The vibration test is done through an external lab and the dimensions of the bench are as follows. XY Table Z Table 3. I've dropped the idea of welded plates based on your...

    VIBRATION TEST FIXTURE.

Hello, I am aware that there are threads which discuss this topic but there are some specifics which i wanted to share in this thread. 1. Specimen : Pneumatic Panel 448x187mm with 3mm R4 bend. Aluminium, 3mm sheet thickness. 2. Test Standard : IEC 61373 HL2 2. Weight 3Kgs (approx.) 4...

My pneumatic cylinder needs to push down 25% of its capacity at the start and then push with 100%.

Two solutions come to my mind. 1. Use a 5/2 way valve with port 1 connected to a I/P converter. You can set the output pressure using 0-10V /4-20mA signal. 2. Use two 3/2 way valves to connect to port 1 of a 5/2 way valves. These two 3/2 way valves can be connected to different pressures to...

Using a pneumatic cylinder or syringe to compress air and move a payload very fast

The max speed of a Pneumatic cylinder of 40mm dia (1.5") is roughly 3m/sec. No way you are going to get a speed of 250m/sec using a pneumatic cylinder. Try firing a bullet type projectile.

Cylinders in series to rotate a load

Any application diagrams?. What is the load (in kgs) that you want to rotate and what is the approx Nm needed?. A Pneumatic cylinder with a rod eye in the piston and a rotary swivel joint to the rear end cover might just rotate a load.

Solenoid valve symbology: detented coil on a two-position single-coil spring-return valve?

Something to do with Manual Override?. Its a 3 position mid position closed valve. Hence the two dents. Pneumatic valves have them. I'm not sure about hydraulic ones.

    Small Hydraulic Proportional Valve

This is what i could get from what i understand of the application. The pressure can be varied from 15 to 5000psi using a 0-10V or a 4-20mA signal. You write a code in the PLC for the scaling between the strain gauge input and the signal output to tune the PID...

    EX d Vs EX e

Ex d (Flame proof) - Up to Zone 1 : Usually Die cast AL/Iron. Wiring rigged in such a way that the power trips if the lid is opened. Glands have to be Ex d rated too. Max wattage of each component has to taken into account before wiring. Extensively used in lighting. Ex e (Increased protection...

    intrinsic safety circuits

IS circuit means that the Entity parameters (L/C) of the load (Transmitter) is lower than that of the barrier. So no chance of sparking due to hot working or Shorting. Technically, even the cable's entity parameter has to be considered for the length between the marshaling cabinet and the...

    Solenoid Valve Voltage Drop Issues

Crazy thought: Can't you just not ground the negative of the power supply and the PLC output common and switch the valve?.

Ask for a name of a pneumatic symbol

From what i can see, its a pneumatic piston operated ON/OFF valve. The valve may be a ball / butterfly / knife gate etc.

Pneumatic End of stroke / threshold sensor

"The cylinder oscillates as you mentioned using some sore of a pilot switch, what I do not understand is how does the port I marked on the picture work, it is outside of the cylinder so how does the cylinder pressure or lack thereof get to that port? There's got to be internal pathway os some...

Pneumatic End of stroke / threshold sensor

What is the application?. Some sort of volumetric filling?. From the pics, i can only figure out that there are no solenoid or reed switches involved so its a pure pneumatic circuit. A threshold sensor is a pneumatic signal generator which sends out a pneumatic signal every time the cylinder...

    OMRON CP1EN40DT1-D PLC - PULS2 INSTRUCTION

Hi, I am trying to control a Step Servo Motor (EX d) using an Omron CP1EN40DT1-D CPU. The task involves positioning control of a belt pulley system for positioning the carriage using a Step Servo motor. So its a position control application. I am trying to use the PULS2 instruction to limit the...

Cable gland requirement for intrinsically safe equipment Ex ia for IIC

IS barriers have a EXia rated terminal on one side and normal terminals on the other. The barrier itself is generally rated for Zone 2 installation only. So if your box is located in hazardous area then it necessitates that the Glands are compulsorily air tight.

    Pressure and Time Switch

Is there an electronic proportional pressure regulator in hydraulic?. Sure there is one in pneumatic. It makes such tasks easier. All you have to do to set up a closed loop in your PLC using 4-20mA signals (for set pressure and output pressure feedback) and program the basic loop in ladder using...

    Looking for a mine-duty on/off air valve

Changing diaphragm material is worth a try. If sealing is the problem then the other option that I can think of is a Piston operated angle seat valve. Some valves from Boschjost (82380/ 84500) *CLAIM* to have good resistance against aggressive and contaminated gases. For the sake of full...

    Looking for a mine-duty on/off air valve

I would start by looking at the material of the diaphragm. NBR is not suitable for abrasive air, the other suitors are EPDM and FKM/FKP. There's only so much you can do with a valve. The best method is to filter the air itself. If not on the machine, at least on the header line feeding the valve.
