Hello sir, sorry for the confusion earlier. Let me explain the situation. The concreting was completed up to the shaded region, but due to the rain, a 200 mm layer of concrete was washed away. In my analysis, I want to partition this 200 mm layer so I can assign it a different property...
Hello Sir.
I have highlighted the relevant area in pink on the 3D model. I need to create a 200 mm partition so that I can assign two different properties to the sections.
Thanks & Regards,
Shub
Hello everyone, I need some help. I need to create a partition on a surface, similar to what I've shown in the front view. However, I am struggling to partition it in 3D. Should I sketch the section and revolve it to ensure the entire radial surface is divided into 200 mm segments? I've attached...
I will make it more clear through Images. I have made part like this but when I am sketching like this these will not act as single component. If I want to calculate the forces or moment at the bottom , it will give different values for both, but if i can make it as a single component then if...
I want to create a 3D shell part.I am modelling two shell part as a single part, both the shell part has different thickness and different material property. I tried composite Layup, but I'm unable to do. I'm attaching the image how the geometry will be. Please guide.
Regards,
Shub
I am attempting to cut the portion as indicated in the image. I am using a sweep cut, but I'm not achieving the desired result. Although I can cut it, the final position is not as intended. Note: The first two points are collinear, but the third point is not. I have also attempted solid...
I modeled a slab in Abaqus using Shell elements, and I require the S33 value. However, for shell elements, S33 is zero. What alternative approach should I consider? Your guidance is appreciated.
Thanks and Regards.
I attempted to use the 'rotate instance' function, but it isn't aligning perfectly with the desired position. The 3rd point is not coming to the third datum point, first two point of the instance came to the datum point as shown in figure.
Please guide
Thank you
I am facing a problem positioning the instance. I am trying to rotate the instance the way I need, but I am unable to do so. I have marked the point, and I have drawn how to position it. Please guide me.
I will explain my question. I have modeled it, but I am unable to understand the position of the steel cable from the figure. There are 40 steel cables, and I know I can place them in a radial pattern. However, I want to know how to determine the specific position for each steel cable and how to...
This is the cross-sectional view of my model, and there is one steel member. However, during modeling, I am unable to understand the position of the steel member, so I cannot place it in its correct position. The total number of steel members is , but from the cross-section, I am unable to...
Thank you so much for your guidance, sir. It has helped me a lot. I have a few more doubts. I have partitioned the circular area into different circular regions so that I can assign different stiffness values, but for that, I have to select the nodes for each circular region. Can you guide me on...
Yes, I have partitioned the surface into different layers so that I can assign a different stiffness value to each layer. However, I am now facing an issue with meshing. I need to assign mesh control as 'Hex-Sweep through medial axis.' I attempted to partition for meshing, but the orange color...
The suggestion you gave,I did that and it worked.
I have applied the spring in other two direction by putting the stiffness value 10% of the 3rd direction and it worked.
Thank you so much
Okay sir, I will add the spring in the remaining direction and will let you know. Can you please explain the second thing, "by fixing the displacement in those directions " I didn't understand this. What it actually means?
Actually, it is a circular footing resting on soil. The soil is modeled as a spring, which is why I applied the spring only in that specific direction, leaving all other directions unconstrained. However, I'm encountering an equilibrium error while running the analysis. Please provide guidance...
When we are selecting the connection to the ground (standard) then we have to select the node of the foundation only and then we have to assign the stiffness value and DOF. There is no need of constraining it.
