Dear All,
Am sure this is a simple question, but I do not work with ANSI equipment very often, I have a specification that is written Class300 B16.5RF 250 - 500 AARH. Can someone please tell me what the AARH stands for?
Thanks
I have a client who is having corrosion problems on a stainless steel heat exchanger skid.
At the start the brazed heat exchangers (s/s plates) were literally being eaten away (secondary side). I thought this could be a production fault so replaced the unit with another one. This lasted a...
Agreed, would advise a 100mesh on start up. Also some of our clients use a ball valve srewed in to the base plate of the strainer , to blow it down, during start ups. From experience on the larger strainers it is a goods idea as it stops it blocking and thus keeping it efficient. And it means...
Could always follow the Pyramid Builders lead, and use sand jacks in support. Cheap and cheerful, no moving parts, all you have to do is work out the flow orifice size.
Sorry quark, no more descritive as I do work for Spirax Sarco but thought it a bit off to metion it (sounds like a sales pitch otherwise)
A question for you though as you have been on this site longer than me, and Robin sorry for ambushing your string, is there a specifc group for steam issues?
Agreed, dumping from main line at 10 Barg into 1.5 Barg could cause the condensate line to back pressure on traps further down line, even with non return valves, they may not be able to over come it. With 10Barg, which is about 100m of motive pressure do you not have any atmospheric vessel near...
Would also check if you are returning condensate back to the feed tank, do an analysis on this?
Are you blowing your boiler down often enough i.e Bottom, Side and TDS?
Is your feed water being oxygenated from some source?
If you have a water preheat system from say, excess flash, whatever, is...
