Dear ione, Your result shows lower Hvap value than at ATM pressure. whereas it should increse. My calculation results 125.82 cal/gm at 680 mmHg than 124.3 cal/gm at ATM. Plz validate. Thanks, Saleda

sorry TD2K, in our solvent rcovery process intailly we have only one vacuum tray drier for what condenser was designed , now second smaller dryer is installed. which resulted in more vapor flow and loss of acetone that jumped condenser. now rather that manufacturing and designing new condenser...

in industries that have to deal with highly flammable liquids first and most necesssry task is to to eliminate the ignition source. proper earthing for reducing static charge risk. and the vent of tank can have condenser with appropiate utility running to keep vapor below LEL.

we also use liquid nitrogen in our process to have -92 deg C temp. and nitrogen is vented in atmosphere. particularly for we don't have any application for it. but i hope u can repressurize it and reuse it.

you should first run your system without vacuum let it run in reflux for some time then apply vacuum , problem will be resolved.

you can separate that in centrifuge or nutche filters.
