API 650 Design Criteria for a 10'x8' Access Hatch

The scope of work calls for exactly the operation you mentioned, but they requested cost for the option of "installing a removable door panel for future cleaning of the tank." We have removed and replaced sections many time before, but I have never made an access panel to be reused.

API 650 Design Criteria for a 10'x8' Access Hatch

Can someone direct me to the API 650 design criteria for a 10'x8' hatch? The largest opening detailed in section 5.7 is 48"x48". A customer is looking for a reusable cleaning access, but I have never come across something of this size. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Surface Area for Weld Fittings

I am looking for surface area of each fitting type and size for coating estimation. Surface area of pipe is an easy calculation, but the fittings are tedious to tabulate, so a table of exterior and interior area would speed things up. I can find all the dimensional information, just looking or...

Does anyone know of an online publication or book that has surface area for most common weld and forge fittings? I am not worried about too much detail, but a basic table would be of a great help.

what classes/subjects should an engineering student focus on

In my experience, you should focus on business classes if you want to be helpful in creating a start-up. School is great for building your foundational knowledge, but the most important classroom will be in the field participating with professionals and getting hands on time. Business class...

    2205/6% MOLY (75/25 SPLIT)

Okay, I received clarification from the design engineers. They are asking for a shell plate with 25% of the circumference to be 6Mo and the remaining 75% to be 2205. The vessel will essentially be split internally by 6Mo plate to partition two different processes. Thanks to all for your...

    2205/6% MOLY (75/25 SPLIT

That is what I am trying to figure out. I am assuming the engineers are calling shell plate that would mate the two materials. For instance, if the shell was 20' in height, the lower 5' would be 6Mo and the upper 15' would be 2205. I have never seen anything like this called out before, so I...

    2205/6% MOLY (75/25 SPLIT

Does anyone know the SA spec No. or the UNS for material that would be applicable when 2205/6% MOLY (75/25 SPLIT) material is called for. I don't know where to find details or a manufacturer of such a product. Any basic info would be very helpful

    ASME STS-1 NDE Requirements

I am working on a breech stack for an NQA-1 project, but we don't normally work with stacks like this and I am unfamiliar with the NDE requirements outlined within ASME STS-1. Will the NQA-1 procedures satisfy all testing needs, or should I plan on additional testing?
