    Source for crawler tracks

Thanks for the insight, we ended up getting some timing belt samples from BrecoFlex. It seems like they'll work well.

    Source for crawler tracks

I'm looking for a small crawler track system, the only company I have been able to find as of now is Inuktun, and they're prices are pretty steep. Is anyone aware of any other companies with similar products? http://www.inuktun.com/crawler-tracks/

    Electro-Magnet drop out time

IRStuff - I am following what you say, but my gate drive is not 12V. It is roughly 30V, the LTC1154 is a charge pump driver. I apologize for my lack of knowledge on the subject. Its been a long time since freshman year, especially when not designing mosfet circuits on a regular basis.

    Electro-Magnet drop out time

IRStuff - I'm not sure i follow you completely. With the use of a gate driver why is a p-channel needed? btrueblood - This is to prevent failure, in the case that either fet fails to drop out.

    Electro-Magnet drop out time

Figured out my problem... The SP721 is a transient voltage suppressor, going against everything I want to do...

    Electro-Magnet drop out time

    Thanks, but any ideas?

    Electro-Magnet drop out time

Forgot to mention, L7-L10 are ferrites, data sheet below. http://www.lairdtech.com/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=id&ItemID=4849

    Electro-Magnet drop out time

Here is a portion of my schematic, the signals C1H, C1L, C2H and C2L are all generated by a JK flip flop.

    Electro-Magnet drop out time

Thanks for all the replies, Im not sure we've hit on the solution yet. LiteYear- To disprove this I decided to use a SPDT switch and drive it manually. The inductive spike I see is 800uS or so long, with an amplitude of about 350V. IRStuff - I agree, but my experiment above has shown...

    Electro-Magnet drop out time

I'm trying to decrease the amount of time it takes for an electromagnet to actuate. Currently we're driving it with two MOSFET's, to drop out both sides of the magnet. The MOSFET's im using are 300V, N-CH, link below. I am familiar with the idea of letting the inductive spike peak to decrease...

    Transducer Power Levels

Thanks for the link, MASSA seems to have a wide variety of ultrasonic products. Its difficult for me to get into detail about my application,I need to evaluate how much power I will need to allow for detection of ultrasound inside of a building. The building construction will be of various...

    Transducer Power Levels

That makes sense, therefore there is no missing parameter... Phew Given that fact, what would be the most reasonable approach to selecting a transducer for use in the application? Again, we want to measure ultrasound inside of a building with the source being outside. We're looking for the...

    Transducer Power Levels

I am new to the acoustics area, and I am trying to determine what I am missing as far as transducer power levels are concerned. I am currently in the process of characterizing how ultrasonic energy propagates through a building. To do so, I wish to develop a high power ultrasonic transmitter...

    Lock-In amplifier or other alternative?

VE1BLL, I believe that the exact modulation scheme I am using is BFSK, I will have a space frequency of XkHz, and a mark frequency 2-3kHz higher than the space. I attempted to use SPI controlled PGA's, but I will need to develop a more robust method as I am not detecting low level signals...

    Lock-In amplifier or other alternative?

I'm trying to determine the best way to extract a signal from noise. The signal of interest will be an FSK signal somewhere between 20-40kHz with a bandwidth of 2-5kHz. The amplitude of the signal will vary greatly, ranging from 1Vpp (DC Biased) to very low level signals of less than 1mVpp...
