Its not hooked in yet. I've raised a concern about it because The tech had mentioned it a few years ago. But we have a bunch of time into installing the new compressor and the CEO wants more info on it before he makes any changes to the plan.
A couple years ago we were having some cutting issues on our mazak spacegear 510. the tech had mentioned that he smelt paint fumes(half our shop is paint) and they can cause ballooning of the beam if it got into the air supply. This wasn't the issue at the time as our main compressor is vented...
We get a bit of Angular spring back but its a minimal difference between angles. we are over bending about 2.5 degrees some have 3. and from angle to angle we maybe see + or - .2 .3 degrees off of 90 at most.
We are bending window frames. The part is bend all the way around at 90s and then welded together to create a 1 piece frame. we are using a tube mandrel bender that has been retrofitted to bend extrusion. The retrofitter expressed they felt the tolerance was tight for the process considering...
We are having difficulties creating a consistent radii on our new mandrel bender. the material and 6063 T4 and the parts have about a 110mm radius and about 40mm wide x 15mm tall. it has 4 bends all 90 degrees. The part has a +- tolerance of 1mm on both the radii, length and width. We are having...
I have been doing 3D cutting a composite material with our spacegear for about a year now. There has been a few crashes. The problem is that the composite is non metallic so that the height sensor does not work. I am currently training a replacement operator because I am moving to operate a new...
There is slight play in the B Axis. We had a mazak tech in not that long ago and he seemed to think it wasn't an issue. I was having the trouble before and after the A axis pinion cleaning. I cleaned the slip ring and contacts. it was dirty but didn't look to bad. I can cut the angle B test and...
After cutting some beveled ring parts we noticed a .75mm difference from one side to the other. After checking plate flatness(which was only out by 2mm over a 8 foot span) and running the calibration procedure it appears that the angle B calibration is not holding for some reason. I can dial it...
narrowed down a fairly good condition and found the reason for the rough cut on the radius. There was dirt in the pinion gear for the A axis causing it to clunk on its way around. I will see how much better it cuts now. Thanks for the help. I may be able to use those conditions in the future...
make sure the rails are clean and air pressure is good. Also let it open or close fully before hitting anything else. some times switching between programs or opening the clams will cause it to stop for a quick second and it loses its momentum.
Tried all factory parameters, both slow and fast with many tweeks over 50 test parts. Best cut so far for the larger of the 3 part. 15x22" aiming into the scrap,

used the same on the smaller part. 6x10 and cut is a lot rougher. tried...
I am having trouble narrowing down a cutting condition that is consistent for a 20 degree bevel on a space gear MKII 4k watt laser. I am cutting am 0 shaped part that is beveled 20* towards the inside and 20* towards the outside. creating a A shaped profile for the part. The cut is leaving very...
