Dear all,
I found a problem when apply the torque/twisting moment rigid body. The shape inflate and deflate in size in the animation. The results seem reliable. I did a search, and it looks the reason for these kind of problems are still unknown. Please help me out.

Hi all,
I learned a clever way to apply a moment (pure rotation) for a cylinder meshed by Solid187. However, there is one thing I do not understand. It seems this way will squeeze the cylinder fist then recovered judged by the animation (please watch the video).

Hi Drej,
I reply this post just try to find you (Drej). I found you replied and provided a very useful macro to make a helical spring. It is very impressive (thread569-124712, macro(2)).
I do have a few question to ask you.
1) how to put a non-coil end at each end (see the attachment)? It...
Hi all,
I have a strange problem. I can not modify the material's Engineering Data in Workbench (Ansys 13). Does anybody know what the reason is?
Thanks.
Steve
Also, I would like to ask how to get the circumferential strain on the turn (inner and outer) surfaces.
p.s. The image was imported from Autodesk Inventor to the Ansys workbench. I still did not manage to complete in Ansys.
Thanks...
Hi all,
I found there was a thread 569-124712 discussed the spring. There is a link http://ansys.net/ansys/input/spring.inp
, in which more complex spring was constructed.
But I found the macro file provided by the link (http://ansys.net/ansys/input/spring.inp) did not work in Ansys 13...
