    Valve Cavity Pressurisation

More details please. What type of ball valve do you have, floating ball, trunnion mounted, single or double piston. What kind of material is used for ball and seats, and so on... I assume there is no vent bore in the ball, because of the tests you already made.

V-Packing chevron type PTFE sealing system: how much must be compressed?

Just ask the manufacturer of the sealing system. They will give you detailed information on how to adjust the packing.

Fisher pneumatic Control Valve Plug detachment

Dear Daren Samy, it would be good if you could share the drawing. It would help to get things clearer.

    MATERIAL GRADE IDENTIFICATION.

Please keep in mind that some balls are cladded, or spray coated with a superior material, to give a durability advantage. Unfortunately, you have given very little information about the valve, so I cannot estimate if it is such a ball.

    PEEK seated Truninon ball valve

First of all, this is very small amount of information that you have provided. More information, maybe even a drawing, would give better answers. From experience I can say that a peek seat seals best at low pressures when matched (lapped) to the ball, similar to a metal seat. Or the spring force...

Cast valve body made of ADI (austempered ductile iron)

I agree that the most common material is EN-GJS-400-18 but that is not ADI (austempered ductile iron casting).

Cast valve body made of ADI (austempered ductile iron)

Thanks for reply bcd. I`m common with ductile iron valves, we manufacture alot of them, but i never saw a valvebody made from ADI material. Maybe because its to expensive. But i will have a deeper look into the ASME B16.42, maybe i can find something.

Cast valve body made of ADI (austempered ductile iron)

Is there noone out there who can give an answer!? Maybe ADI is not common, eventually the material number 5.3400 (EN-GJS-800-10) will help to get some answers. :-)

Cast valve body made of ADI (austempered ductile iron)

I would be interested to know if there are valve manufacturers or end users, who use ADI casted material in their valves or plants. I have not found any reference to this material in the corresponding valve standards (ASME B16.34 / DIN EN 1092). The only thing I have found are check valves whose...

    Axial bearing for high temperature

Thanks gerhardl for your response. I allready googled alot, but found nothing specific. Graphalloy is new for me, so i would have a look on it, thank`s!

    Axial bearing for high temperature

Hello valve engineers, i have a question regarding metallic ball valves for temperatures up to +470°C. What kind of axial bearing could i use (for the stem), that withstands such high temperatures, without increasing the actuation torque to much higher Levels. Should i look for ceramic...
