Manufacturing process of steel tank with butyl diaphragm.

Actualy i am not trying trying to install a pressure vessel. Wheather it is bladder type or diaphragm type accumulator, i need to know the process used for clampimg the butyl rubber in the stell tank. does the hoop ring is installed at lower temp and then there is interference fit between thd...

Manufacturing process of steel tank with butyl diaphragm.

Hi, Can anyone tell me about the procedure followed for applying the butyl diaphragm in the steel tank (Pressure vessel). I am unable to find the process used for pinching that butyl rubber diaphragm between the wall of pressure vessule and the hoop ring. Need help ASAP.

Pump with a 20inches suction dia.

thank you 1gibson, Biginch and Pumpsonly for such helpfull replies. 1gibson- sorry, didnt want to hurt your feelings but I am still not getting the sign conventions used in ANSI 9.6.2. What I think is that several assumptions were made in ANSI 9.6.2. Yeah API 610 was a big help for future though.

Pump with a 20inches suction dia.

Earlier I posted a question related to allowable nozzle loads in pupm engineering forum but did not get any good replies, so I thought may be piping guyz know because they deal with kind of same situation on the pipes also.

Pump with a 20inches suction dia.

I understand your point. But I am not designing a piping system, I am resposible for providing values of Allowable forces and moments on the pump suction and discharge flange (nozzle). Wall thickness which I am reffering to is of Pump's wall thickness.

Pump with a 20inches suction dia.

ok..but what about wall thickness??? loads vary with that also right. we are considering the nozzle size only. How would I know If the thickness is also fine?

Pump with a 20inches suction dia.

I need to calculate the ALLowable nozzle loads for an axially split case pump with suction dia 20 inches. It is designed according to ANSI standards. Standard for calculating the allowable nozzle loads is ANSI/HI 9.6.2 (Rotodynamics Pumps) but in this standard table for maximum nozzle loads...

Determining Applied Nozzle Loads on Centrifugal Pump

Thank you for suggesting API 610, really helped a lot. I have read it and the equations used in API 610 for calculating Allowable Nozzle Loads makes sense to me but the one used in ANSI does not. Is there any other paper or standard which I can reffer to for this..???

Determining Applied Nozzle Loads on Centrifugal Pump

yeah i am sorry, I said it wrong. It was Allowable nozzle loads for pump. We have nothing to do with piping system, All i have to do is provide the values of allwable forces and moment for pump at suction and discharge, which has to be done in accordance with ANSI/HI 9.6.2-2011, in this standard...

Determining Applied Nozzle Loads on Centrifugal Pump

Greetings to All, I have completed BS Mechanical this year only and joined a centrifugal pump manufacturing company. Till now our company was managing somehow for providing the "Allowable Nozzle Loads" to the customers but now I am supposed to do the same(manually), once I feel confident about...
