Hi,

Can anyone tell me about the procedure followed for applying the butyl diaphragm in the steel tank (Pressure vessel). I am unable to find the process used for pinching that butyl rubber diaphragm between the wall of pressure vessule and the hoop ring.

Need help ASAP.

Are you talking about a kind of bladder style accumulator? What does the manufacturer manual tell you about it? The clamping is different from manufacturer to manufacturer. So, there is no standard procedure.

Actualy i am not trying trying to install a pressure vessel. Wheather it is bladder type or diaphragm type accumulator, i need to know the process used for clampimg the butyl rubber in the stell tank.
does the hoop ring is installed at lower temp and then there is interference fit between thd butyl rubber and the ring.. i dont know, i am just guessing.
