Hi everybody, I'm doing a SRS analysis using the SOL112 as described by Nastran Advanced Dynamic Analysis Guide. But I would like to add some static load to the structure, that basically is preloaded, to have a better estimate of the stress in the structure.
I've already estimated the effect of...
Hi Kurunta, I tried taking away 1 from SCP1 as you wrote, but doesn't change anything, the code as I wrote it is the same as the one produced by Patran, no change to it. I'am really triyng to understand why... I even tried to wrote manually the .bdf file (for another project) following the...
Hi everybody, I'm modelling an electronic boxes and I'm trying to decide how to model in FE a Calmark wedge lock. ()
Has anybody any experience on how to model this typo of lock/connection in finite elemtns software?
Any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

Here is the code of the .bdf as generated by Patran. I even tried to simplify it, but it didn't work. Anyway this one is the standard code generated by patran. I didn't add the model itself (elements, grid nodes).

During the holiday I found out what the problem is, or at least what it could be.
I create a test case, with a cilinder + flange and I create the .bdf using MSC.Random of Patran 2010.1.2 and then I run the .bdf on 4 different solver (mine Nastran 2012.1, the one of Nastran 2007 on the pc room...

Hi guys, I'm new of the forum even if I've been reading it for a while. I'm working on the Random/PSD qualification of a model for space application, but I'm having some problems on stress results.
The model could be schematized as a small pipe (around 200mm) with two flanges at the beginning...
