    Sundyne Internal Pump Pressure

@Johny Pellin: You are right with respect to pressure gauge. As far as viscosity and temperatures are concerned, I have already mentioned that the sump temperature remains constant at temperature gauge. Do you want to say that a leaky suction tube will reduce suction pressure and correspondingly...

    Sundyne Internal Pump Pressure

Can someone put light on the second part of the question that why there is a delay in pressure rise as the auxiliary pump starts ?

    Sundyne Internal Pump Pressure

@Johnny Pellin: 1) I will look for the spring of relief valve during gearbox overhaul and will check by pressure test whether the relief valve passes or not. 2) I doubt the possibility of suction tube leakage since the pressure holds at 3 bar for quite a long time and then after few hours it...

    Sundyne Internal Pump Pressure

@bingopin: Sorry both the bearings of high speed shaft are journal bearings.

    Sundyne Internal Pump Pressure

@bingopin: All of the bearings are journal bearings. But how come the high bearing clearance can result in low lube oil pressure ? Moreover, I have been taking the readings at the temperature gauge and found no difference in temperature during this drop eliminating the possibility of pressure...

    Sundyne Internal Pump Pressure

Hi everyone!! Before going through my problem, kindly check the lube oil circuit of Sundyne pump attached. We have been facing a problem with a internally shaft driven PD pump whose pressure drops with time from 3 bar. As the pressure reaches around 2 bar we have to start auxiliary pump as well...

And who tells the condensor to set that discharge pressure :/

    Help needed

Hi everyone !! I have just started my professional career in a chemical plant. I am facing problems in understanding the chiller operation. We have a chiller equipped with a screw compressor of HANBELL company. The compressor is a 4 step capacity control system with a modulation slide valve...

    Forced draft vs Induced draft

I was not keeping the mass-flow constant

    Flow

zdas04 I meant to say that the hot fluid will go up due to density difference. (writing mistake) I just meant to say that if heat is applied at the top, the energy level is increased but the fluid lets say water will evaoprate.

    Flow

little inch U talked about extra energy. If I give this energy in the form of heat, will the water from top go at the bottom ? No. This would not happen I think. Infact the cold fluid will go up due to density difference

    Flow

We know that at the bottom of a certain tank/bottle the pressure of a fluid is high as compared to the top of the tank/bottle(assuming it to be open to atmosphere) according to the equation; Pressure at bottom= density * 9.81 * height of tank Then y does the fluid not go up to top of the...

    Forced draft vs Induced draft

lappygamer Volume flowrate(Q): Q= Velocity * Area For a given fan, the velocity is same. Since both hot and gases will occupy same area So how can you say that lower temperatures yield low volumetric flow rates and consequently low Horsepower?? (though it is 100% true that large volumetric...

    Forced draft vs Induced draft

Thanks rakuday..i was also thinking the same thing which u told about water coolers. This cleared my confusion

    Forced draft vs Induced draft

Wy this is incorrect. I have observed it in my refinery. My supervisor told me to search for the reason. Is this something to deal with motor power?

    Forced draft vs Induced draft

I have normally seen that air cooled heat exchangers are normally equipped with forced draft fans while cooling towers have induced draft fans...Can anyone give me a technical reason for this ?
