Good morning, gentleme
We must reinforce and repair some metal bridges, but I would like to know if for this work I must apply the d1.5 code? I think AWS D1.5 is only for building new bridges.
I will appreciate your answers

Good day:
We are pre-assembling a roof of a structure, which will be raised 20 meters high, the client requests a topographic protocol, it demands tolerances of the final structure for this pre-assembly at ground level.
The ceiling has the dimensions 10 x 20 meters.
That is good?
THANKS

Good morning, gentlemen:
We have a WPS, due to customer request it is required to change the welding process: FCAW (E71T8) will replace SMAW (E 7018), The question is if we should make a new PQR. No impact required, Standard: ASME IX.
Thanks for your attention

Can you help me:
If ASME IX said:
QW-203 LIMITS OF QUALIFIED POSITIONS FOR PROCEDURES Unless specifically required otherwise by the welding variables (QW-250), a qualification in any position qualifies the procedure for all positions
Then Why piping are tested to qualify wps position 6g ...
Thanks for the answers:
We have a WPS for 3G position, I can generate WPS to position 1G and 2G with the PQR of the first WPS. We are using the same material.

Good Morning:
DTI installation say:
"Put DTI under bolt head bump against bolt head", but if does we put an washer between the DTI and the bolt head, would it have a problem?
Good Morning:
The same bolt is tensioned with a torque meter and gives a much greater value than the one obtained by applying a DTI washer. why?
Bolt: A325
Diameter: 7/8 "
Torque value: 890 lb-ft
