DTI installation

Good Morning:

DTI installation say:

"Put DTI under bolt head bump against bolt head", but if does we put an washer between the DTI and the bolt head, would it have a problem?

As far as I know, will not be a problem..but hardened washer..And prefer tightening of the assembly by rotation of the nut.
