Hi All,
Mr. John Baker provided some files for NX10 to make the last 10 commands used, ready available.
I followed his instructions and it works very well in Modeling and Drafting applications,
however it doesn't in Manufacturing which is the environment I use the most, it is showing the last...
Hello from the other side, I am one of those members that rarely make or answer a post,
nonetheless have read almost every post and watched every NX related video you have made available here.
Your teachings are helping me put bread on my table… like literally....
I pray God will bless you...
Kevin,
for question #1
open the "streamline drive method" dialog box (by clicking on the wrench)
in the "trim and extend" section change the "Start Step" to something like -10
for question #2
change "Motion Output Type" to "Arc-Perp to Tool"
(Machime Control section of the operation dialog box)...
Hi User100,
If a multi-axis tool-path is not required for your project....
I'll suggest cutting the groove with a ball end mill of the proper size,
and using curve/point method to drive the cutter.
Regards,
Mario C.
Hi Karlis,
Open your operation...
open the non-cutting moves dialog box,
select the Transfer/Rapid tab,
Clearance option, needs to be set to something other than "none"
hit the down arrow and select your choice as needed.
Regards,
Mario.
Jeroen,
sorry I missed what you really need.
to accomplish what you want you may:
use the yellow surface as part geometry.
Instead of curve point drive use surface area drive, pick the green surface
and set the material side and cut direction and pecentages accordingly.
Projection vector use...
Hi Jeroen
Open the variable contour operation
click on the projection vector wrench
in the specify vector section, flip the direction of the vector
regenerate.

Mario
