    I am leaning back towards casting the leaded yellow brass that was originally used... I can get it for $3.60/lb(500lb min.)... Would galvanized cast iron be cheaper than that?

    Thank you for your input EdStainless and arunmrao. I am looking into galvanized cast iron. I guess I am more concerned with the cast leaded yellow brass ears, or the copper in it, that would go into the zinc piece. Would there be corrosion there if water was introduced

    I have a current application of a bronze hub w 2 ears in combination w a ubolt holding up a sign on a pole that has a galvanized steel threaded pipe going into the hub... Can I replace the hub w a less expensive all zinc piece? Will the cast leaded yellow brass or galvanized steel pipe have...
