Hmm, I'm not an experienced engineer, but I did some analysis with double sided contacts on shell elems, on 6.13-4.
Firstly, I was always told to be extreamly careful with SMALL SLIDING contact forumulation, especially on curved surfaces, so I'd adivise trying finite sliding.
Secondly, last time...
Hi bimasu.
Could you try to fix the shaft via MPC (REF NODE in axis of shaft), with Z-axis concentric to shaft axis? Then you can plot RM3 as history output, or simply check the field output in post processor for MPC reference node.
I hope I understood your question correctly ;)
Hello!
I’d like to know, what is the most suitable elastic-plastic material model in stamping/forming analysis (Abq Standard), where we are dealing with large strains (=< 15%).
What's more, there is a need to include cyclic plasticity for two reverse bending cycles prediction of stamped part...
- sorry, now I see my mistake. Point of this sentence was to indicate, that our U-shaped part works in really narrow range of strains - so there is no need for performing analysis for each 1% of peeq (that's what I assume, maybe wrong?). I hope now it's more clear.
Hello realtime2, thanks for quick and helpful answer.
Even though HSLa420 does not harden much under cyclic loading, I would like to establish hardening type (kinematic or isotropic or mixed) for only one backstress - to know the real spring back after stamping process.
When it comes to...
Hello! It's my first topic here, so warm welcome to everybody willing to help me ;)
I have been reading this forum ocasionaly for over 1,5 year, but (until now) I didn't need to register (due to the fact I'm not experienced engineer - I couldn't give much support to anyone).
However, my problem...
