Hi,
Yeah that's a good idea. But I don't know why it is not working. I removed all previous contrains of the circles and then tried to constrain them to equal radius. But when I click on equal radius I can't select any circle. And also if I first preselect them and click on circle it is not...
Hi all,
Does someone know if there is a way to use like a reference as 'radius R of a circle' and setting the radius of 30 circles in a sketch to this parameter? It would be nice if I could change the radius of all the circles at once by changing this parameter R. For example by changing the R...
Thank you very much, cowski and Jaydenn. Due to your help, I discovered the problem and was able to fix it.
Actually, I had already curves, but when I projected them to the upper surface, the curves weren't project on the holes, because the holes were part of the surface. So I just drew...
Hi all,
I am designing a cap for EEG-investigation of a Sprague Dawley rodent. I wanted to make grooves in the top of my cap by:
- Drawing curves on the top surface by making a sketch and project this sketch on the top surface
- Use these projected curves to make tubes with the command 'Tube'...
I still have a problem. I was drawing multiple curves on a sketch and than projected them on the surface I want, that goes perfect. But when I want to use the tube command, I get the error: Gaps in string or multiple loops, as you can see in the attachment. Does it mean that I really have to...
@Jerry1423: Yes, I have a .STL-file that comes from a scan of the skull of a rodent. =)
@cowski: Thank you very much for this very useful tip. I tested it and it worked, I can continue my work now.
Kind regards,
Joachim
Hi fellow engineers,
I have a quite simple question, but I don't know if it is possible in Siemens NX. I searched in the Help and on the net but didn't found a solution yet.
Is it possible to draw a line or curve and then extrude it to a cilinder just by specifying diameter of radius? The...
I am now more aware of the true nature of this leightweight body, it is a facet body. Is there a way to make a surface that lays on top of this facet body where I can work further with to make the cap? Is there a way to convert it somehow to a solid body?
I searched on other topics in this...
Hi all,
Some weeks ago, I experienced for the first time with this software and with your help, I managed to build a 'plastic cap' on top of a skull of a human (see in the screenshot in attachment). Now I want to do exactly the same but with a leightweight body that show a rodent.
This rodent...
Hi Tomas,
Thank you for the additional advice. But how to switch in my case from Sheet Metal to Modeling? I think I don't know how to do it? Can you please help me out?
Kind regards,
Joachim
Ok I fixed my problem. The problem was that one extrude was not long enough, and there was no real intersection. You can call it a stupid mistake, for sure. :p
But just to contribute to this forum, I show in attachment my intersection step and result.
THANK YOU GUYS! =D...
Yeah, I think I am almost there, as you can see in the attachment, thanks to your help. =)
What I did know is the following:
Extrude the top face of the skull with a height of 20 mm (because my cap needs to be 20 mm in this case)
Make an intersection curve of a plane (parallel with the...
Hi Carl,
Many thanks for your advice. I have a new attachment =)
What I did now is the following:
I made a intersection curve out of a plane parallel with the XZ-plane and the top of the skull.
This intersection curve was projected than 'in the air' specifying the thickness of the cap I...
Hi colleagues,
I have a specific question that is best explained by this screenshot in attachment. I want to do the following. I drew a closed curve on top of the skull surface. Now I want to extrude this closed curve along the Z-axis with the shape of the skull surface. So I want to draw 'a...
