Problems with the determination of the quality of the mesh

It is a model that I'm working for the thesis; It is the basis for a sandwich panel. Anyway, this is the low density mesh, I also molded with higher density mesh to show how varied the results (the modal shapes). Thank you for the advice, always...

Problems with the determination of the quality of the mesh

I'm having problems in determining the quality of the mesh of a certain model. As can be seen from the attached file, the upper elements that should have the same quality, they do not have this feature. Numerically they have a value of the Jacobian of 0.4, but the colors are different...

    Frequency response analysis

If I understand it correctly, then the minimum frequency range to use is what allows to engage 90% or more of the mass in the direction of primary loading?

    Frequency response analysis

If a frequency response analysis on a modal basis is done in a certain range (eg. 0-5000 Hz) how many vibration modes to be calculated so that the analysis is valid? You can use a number of ways to recruit the 90% of the total mass, although this does not cover the entire frequency range?

    Change the name to surfaces

Incredible, so complicated, so simple. Thanks Blas, I take this opportunity to thank you for tutorials on youtube and for your blog; two useful resources. Best regards.

    Change the name to surfaces

It may seem a trivial matter, but I could not find the answer anywhere.

    Copy the connectors

Hi I am trying to copy the mesh in the same modfem file to create a sandwich panel, so use the commands mesh -> copy -> element. I created the basic model and then I want to copy it in the x and y directions. Regards.

    Copy the connectors

Hi, I created some connectors in a model but when I copy the mesh, are copied only the regions linked to connectors and not the connectors. Is there a way to copy the connectors? Regards.

Avoid the interpenetration between the elements

Thank you for your response. Actually to solve the problem, I will insert an element beam at the center of the cross, rigidly connecting its nodes to the wings. Modeled with solid elements required too many elements even if it would be the best solution. Link

Avoid the interpenetration between the elements

Thank you all for the answers . In the attached link there is ( I hope) a clearer view of the problem that I have set out in the first message . Regards. Link attached

Avoid the interpenetration between the elements

I created this model with four plate elements that meet at the center. When viewing the thickness, the elements are interpenetrating, and consequently I note an undesirable increase in weight. It would be possible to keep this geometry avoiding the extra weight...

    Display FRF

Hello, thanks for the reply. I was trying to plot the FRF (frequency response function) mobility of a certain structure. I solved by applying a unit force in a node, then proceeding to an analysis of the frequency response, requiring only the speed in the "Nastran Output Request"...
