Calculate the area under a curve with Matlab

Hello, I have a table (x,y) contains 2020 measured values (stroke sensor). I would like to calculate the area under the curve. Can i do it with Matlab(or Excel). Thanks

    Axisymmetrie problem

Rob, thanks for your answer! I tried to use adaptive re-meshing but i have a error message about the "error variable" --> no error variables are valid for the selected step type

    Axisymmetrie problem

hello, I simulate a mechanical joining method "clinching": 2D Axisymmertic in Dynamic Impl I try stamping two sheets (deformable) whit a punch rigid. I used simple contact friction 0.2 During the simulation the edges in the end of the sheets don't move. The stress around the punch becomes...

    Damage Evalution Problem

Hello, I study a damage problem (Dynamic-Temp_disp Exp) between a tack (nail) and two sheets. At th end of the simulation there is no damage on the sheets Tack is analytical rigid Sheets are deformable I use a JK platicity and a JK damage Thanks

    Pure Bending

Hello MatthewM23, Pure bending is an elastic solution. For me, you don't need a plastic behavior. But if you want to use the plastic behavior of material, I would advise you to use the linear plastic (ex 262 0, 282 0.1) it' s better for elasto-plastic simulations. You may improve your...

    Pure Bending

Hello, I did same BC modification. It could be useful for your simulationhttp://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=db4a0a7b-0ee8-4075-afda-dcb6293b6436&file=Control_vf1.cae

    Normal and Tangential Contact

Hello, The normal contact definition is not needed. You can simulate a contact with only tangential contact An example of penetration only with tangential contact

Load-Displacement Curve with ABAQUS/CAE and XFEM

Hello, I can not open your CAE (you are using abaqus 6.14 and I have abaqus 6.13). If you are doing a displacement control to get Disp-Force curve you must represent Reaction Force (RF) in the reference point according the displacement. Maybe you have forgotten to activate NLgeom in step.

Dynamic, temp-disp, explicit, consistent units (Abaqus)

    Hi, Specific heat 0.466 J.g-1.K-1 You must use 0.466E9 mJ.tonne-1.K-1 so 466000000 mJ.tonne-1.K-1

Guidance required for a simple Coupled Temp-disp. analysis

    >If you create a temperature condition in BC, you can see any variation. >I think you mean can't, right? Yes, "If you create a temperature condition in BC, you can not see any variation" Sorry!

Abaqus traction test on cylinder strange displacement

hello, Try to apply only a symmetry (XSYMM U1=UR2=UR3=0) in "encastre" section . Do not bloc u1, u2 and u3

    periodic displacement

hello, You can do your simulation into two steps , in a first step you can apply u2=10mm, deactivate it in a second step and you can create a bc displacement in step2.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=9b9ca662-39c8-496a-9b71-bc8b45acdd58&file=Sans_titre.png

    enegy balance problem

Hello , I try to simulate quenching of a steel strip with abaqus standard, the step is coupled temp-displacement I can’t find the balance energy between internal energy and work external. In my model ALLWK is very excessive ETOTAL is not constant, it increases. I don't understand why it is...
