Hi, I zero the caliper at the beginning of each use. I noticed that depending on where I use it and even at the same location, depending on how much force I use to close the caliper, I get different values. So I get different readings all the time. What is the proper way to get the measurements...
What materials which made of the drill bits should I choose?
I am used to using drill bits set and screws with M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, ..., written. In North America, most drill bit sets seem use inches which I am not familiar (the main reason bought that product from Amazon) . I am not sure if...
Price was not the key factor when selecting it. There seemed to be many positive reviews so I bought it. Too bad the return window has already passed.
How is McMaster's set compared with those from Irwin and Dewalt?
@SnTMan The ones I got cannot even make a hole. Paired with the IKEA drill, I could just make a small dent. Those drill bits I used at schools could drill woods and aluminum. These cannot even make a hole. Unbelievable!

Hymnorq 1.0 to 10mm Metric Jobber Twist Drill Bits Set of 19pcs Titanium Coated HSS 4241, Straight Shank for General Purpose in Wood Plastic and Soft Metal Sheet
To my disappointment, they could not even drill IKEA wood! How come?
Are there any...
OD and ID can tolerate some variation but for thickness, if there are variations, I need to redesign.
Anyway, the important answer I need to get is: Among PTEG Plastic, Aluminum and metal Sealing, which is better?
Thanks. What is the different between spacer and washer? To me, spacers are those white tall plastic or metallic standoffs. Washers are thinner ones. In terms of materials, among PTEG Plastic, Aluminum and metal Sealing, which is better?
Thanks Huub. Do you have the link? I configured ISO 7089 but the thickness are 2.3-2.7mm.

I use it to fill in the gap in between a servo motor and a bracket that it turns.
In the past I used alumimum washers but the Aluminum washers that fit my OD and ID specs have thickness of about 2.3mm. In the case of Metal Sealing Washer, it has thickness 1.3-1.7mm. Haven't used Metal Sealing washers. Are they also as rigid as their aluminum counterparts and have smooth...
Thanks. I just checked. They don't seem to have the size I want. I need something with OD about 22mm and ID about 12.8mm or slightly larger. Ideal thickness is about 1mm or slightly thicker.
